The management of high yielding and high quality crops has evolved significantly over recent decades, with farmers using professional and scientific services in support of decisions relating to cropping, variety, nutrition, crop protection, energy usage and environmental management in combination with their own personal experience and knowledge.

We conduct a full programme of pre and post market research and development field trials, not only to overcome technical challenges, but also to ensure that advice delivered on products, processes and timings, is based on live and up-to-date results and information.

This independent research and development programme is one of the largest in the country and includes five Regional Technology Centres, where this important work is conducted under local climatic and environmental conditions in five different UK locations.

Our trials and research programmes focus upon the key questions that are posing problems or threats to farmers, ensuring that our agronomists deliver advice and services which are of real commercial value to the industry.
